The best part for me is getting into another time in history, forgetting about work and modern day problems and creating a story that I know I would love to read and characters that I would like to meet in real life.

I'm working on a murder mystery novel that is mainly set just before WWII, although it does have flashbacks to the time of the Great War as well.
I wanted to have a change and decided to write it in the first person, which has pros and cons. The pros being you know exactly what the main character is thinking, which should help the reader get into her head, the cons are nothing can happen that she doesn't see, hear or get told about.
The idea was to create a different character from Olivia Drummond in Angel, and Teddy is definitely that.

I've always loved history, mix that with love of old B&W films that I watched on Saturday afternoons when I was younger and I suppose the idea behind Angel of Baker Street has always been there.
