Cath Bell writes slow-burn romantic suspense, with a focus on character, restraint, and the relationships that develop over time. Her stories favour atmosphere over drama and connection over spectacle.

She lives in Lincolnshire with her partner, two dogs and a small, opinionated flock of chickens.

A lifelong reader, she grew up cycling to the local library most Saturdays, returning a basket of finished books and leaving with the next stack to disappear into. Writing has become a natural extension of that habit—creating strong characters and following their stories as they unfold, often in ways that take her by surprise.

She also writes romance as Cath Bell.

VE Day Lancashire
