I'm writing a novel about what happens when a woman let's go of all of her dreams and loses herself in motherhood and being a devoted wife, only to find that nothing is as it seems. She's been living in a fantasy world and this book deals with how she handles life once that world comes crashing down on her.

Anything can inspire me. Watching a couple interact at a coffee shop. Remembering what a teacher said to me as a child. A line from a movie strikes a chord. I always keep a notebook handle to scribble down my thoughts then, I sit down at the computer and a movie reel starts to play in my head. I don't think much about what I'm writing during the first draft, I just let the words flow. The drafts that follow are much harder.

I read an article that said writing an autobiography was good therapy. It took me about five minutes to realize my life was far too boring to write about, so I used my imagination ;) I believe in fate and find it's harder to determine what's fate these days, and what's the result of cyber-stalking. I wanted to write something pre-internet age. In the old days, it was possible to end a relationship and never have to see or hear from that person again. No texting, no googling, no facebook, no cell phones. Gone. If you saw them again, it was by chance...or fate.
