How do you get inspired to write?

Jayne Conway Anything can inspire me. Watching a couple interact at a coffee shop. Remembering what a teacher said to me as a child. A line from a movie strikes a chord. I always keep a notebook handle to scribble down my thoughts then, I sit down at the computer and a movie reel starts to play in my head. I don't think much about what I'm writing during the first draft, I just let the words flow. The drafts that follow are much harder.
