Hi Lilyyy! Thank you for the question and sorry for the delay. I've always enjoyed fantasy worlds which is why I was really inspired by the detailed way George R. R. Martin created A Song of Ice and Fire. I am not always so great with details in setting up a scene or building a world, so I look at the way he does world building as a reference. Francine rivers is someone who I love her story on how she transitioned from a romance author to a Christian Romance author. I love to dab Biblical elements into my work so I read alot of Christian romance and Biblical Fiction. Other authors I love are Tessa Afshar and Connilyn Cossette and Lynn Austin! Thank you for the question!

Hi Sue! Thanks for the question and Happy New Year! Just last month I finished the sequel to my duology, The Fortress, with Book 2, Awakening. In 2021, I am setting the framework for my next 3 book Fantasy series, The Prodigal Woman series. We will enter into a new Fantasy world, The Gourd, and focus on three lost and broken women as they try to steer their lives back on the right paths (and face plenty of opposition along the way!) I am aiming for release of book 1 in early 2022, but depending on how the year goes, I may do an early release of December 2021. You can read the synopsis of each book here: https://www.lisamjames.com/christian-...

So I have several, not all of them are really deep literature:
Classics: Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy
Modern: Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy
Comic: Archie, Betty and Veronica
A lot of books I"ve read recently have made me fall in love with historical fiction characters who have these deep relationships built on separation and loss and in many times devastation, but all in all their relationship has a foundation and hope in Christ (which is what I desire for my own life <3 )

Have you ever read a book or seen a movie or show and thought "I wouldn't have done it that way." That's the greatest thing about writing. You are in control of the characters and plots and their development. If something doesn't seem quite right, you can change it! All these ideas you have stored in your head, can come to life through writing and that's what I love about it!

From a young age, I have always been into creative writing. I would love writing short stories and poems for myself when I was in elementary school and middle school. When I was in high school I started to think about becoming an author. My dad was extremely supportive which was a big surprise, since writing was not a stable career path, but he became my greatest motivator. He would tell everybody he knew that I wanted to become a "novelist." It was encouraging and nerve-wrecking at the same time, because I hadn't written a single published thing. I even told him to stop telling people about it, because what if I failed. It wasn't until after he past away that I made it a serious goal for myself to get one book published. It took over 8 years, but God provided a way for me and I was able to dedicate my first novella, "The Whispers of Shadows," and Book 1 of The Fifth Kingdom series, to my dad. I always loved to write, but my dad was and is my greatest inspiration.
