Over My Dead Body: A Supernatural Novel was based on a concept of the idiom "Over My Dead Body!" That idiom is like a line in the sand. I heard a biblical teacher use it in a sermon once and it sparked the storyline for my latest book.

I am seriously crazy about a few eras in history. Biblical history, 1920's, WWII era and Ancient Rome. My stories circle around history and thoughts of "what if it happened this way?" Alternative endings with hindsight being my advantage inspires me.

When I get writer's block I tell myself it's only because I have a part of the story I still have to work through. Just because I am not sitting at my computer pounding the keys does not mean I am not writing. I assign my mind to the topic and focus while I go about other parts of my day and usually by the next time I set down at my computer I am ready to press forward.
