Андрій Горбунов This would be "Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality", and I'd exploit every single aspect of magic just like Harry. And checked what happens if you make a potion out of transfigured ingredients.
Андрій Горбунов The Quran, Sex and Religion by Dag Oistein Endsjo, Do androids dream of electric sheep by Phillip Dick, Orphans of the Sky by Robert Heinlein and whatever else will happen to catch my eye at the time
Андрій Горбунов 1) The story "Слід" ("The Track") from my first book is (despite all its surrealism) connected to a real story of my life in a somewhat intricate way, and that's a mystery for me, because I didn't know the facts about myself when writing the story, and later when I found them out, the coincidence struck me. Will tell about this some years later.
2) My grandma is believed by some people to be a witch. Amazing.
3) The entire next book, "ГЛІЛ", is based on the mysterious mirror-city, doppelganger of Lviv, which I visit often in my dreams.
4) Corey from "Ctrl+Alt+F11" shares some of my mysteries, but that worked like a charm - I just wrote my mysteries away into this character, and they actually disappeared from my real life.
Well, I can recall more and more examples - actually, I don't invent mysteries at all, I take them from my life!
Андрій Горбунов In marital sense of 'couple', Morticia and Gomez Addams. They represent the most abnormal feature in the entire Addams family: husband and wife who really love each other. For me, it's the central metaphor of the entire series: all the grim and sinister stories about the Addams family, all this dark image was just coined by neighbours who envy the happy marriage, considering it as something 'wrong', 'not-like-all-others'.

In general sense of the word 'couple', Dipper and Mabel Pines from 'Gravity Falls'. These twins live through every single stereotype of 'the girl with a pink unicorn pony', 'the boy with brains, science and nerdiness' and 'the twin brothers who always argue but still cannot imagine a world without each other'.
Андрій Горбунов Usually, I have several unfinished works at a time and switch between them to avoid being bored with a single text (which obviously contradicts with Andrukhovych's Attitude #5, but I'm OK with that). I'm trying to utilize the principle of ancient greek artist Apelles - 'Not a day without a line drawn' (which in my case becomes 'Not a day without a line written'), but I still have to work on that.
Андрій Горбунов The same as being a programmer - the Ultimate Power :)
Андрій Горбунов I stick to Yuriy Andrukhovych's 'Eleven Attitudes for an Aspiring Writer', they're very useful. Also, an important thing I have understood is: don't think in a manner 'Oh, I have a book in my head, it's only about flushing it onto the paper'. If it is not on the paper, nor on your computer, nor on a dictaphone, it's NOWHERE. No, you don't have a 'book ready for publishing'. You just have some electromagnetic activity within your neurons, and when you start digitizing it into words, you'll understand that the tough part was yet ahead. I have a pocket voice recorder, and every time I feel I have some words to note down, I use it - it's most useful, as you don't need to take a pen or a laptop with you everywhere, you don't have to struggle with tiny keyboard on your smartphone, and - the most important part - voice is an awful lot faster than typing (if you're not the world stenotyping champion, of course). And it's convenient to have a separate dictaphone device, rather than searching the necessary application on your phone. Really.
Андрій Горбунов Sometimes it's just too many things in your head to be told, they stick up together and form new plots.
Андрій Горбунов A book about my beloved home city, Lviv. This book will be called «ГЛІЛ» (pronounced as «Gh-leel»; the word doesn't mean anything in Ukrainian, it's just a vertical mirror reflection of the letters «LVIV»). I wish to make it something like Neil Gaiman's «Neverwhere», but with Lviv instead of London. My city also has lots of legends, there will be a fantasy «dark side» of the city, and lots of funny comic situations.

P. S. Ctrl+Alt+F11 (which has received a subtitle 'Robot is not a wolf') is finished and is being prepared for publishing.
Андрій Горбунов From my dreams. When I wake up and have in my head a plot sized as The Chamber of Six Ceilings, I just cannot abandon it.
