In marital sense of 'couple', Morticia and Gomez Addams. They represent the most abnormal feature in the entire Addams family: husband and wife who really love each other. For me, it's the central metaphor of the entire series: all the grim and sinister stories about the Addams family, all this dark image was just coined by neighbours who envy the happy marriage, considering it as something 'wrong', 'not-like-all-others'.
