Marilyn Boehm Set a day and time to sit down and write, a chapter at a time. I also enrolled in critique groups that required us to submit a chapter every couple of weeks to be reviewed by the other participants. That's a HUGE incentive!
Marilyn Boehm I started writing this memoir after I completed a Life Story Writing class for seniors. My then husband, a Vietnam vet, was struggling with primary brain lymphoma which developed from his exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. I was his sole caregiver. We'd met in a country western bar years before and had fallen "into love" as only alcoholics do. Our love story spanned almost 30 years as we sobered up, had a child, and grew up together. The writing of the book helped me deal with our story, one that included humor as well as pain.
