Well, I live in Texas, and being a Houston native you tend to deal with hurricanes quite a bit. As a child those can be pretty intense and scary. So during those months of hurricane season, if/when one would hit, myself, and many other I'm sure, would play pretend to some degree to overcome ourfear of all the sounds, the lightning and thunder.

Movie scores seem to really fire up the imagination for me. I will listen to a particular score and my mind with just start creating my own adventures.

Currently. Getting the 1st book in the Jason's Imagination series out there and into the hands of every kid, but while that's happening I am writing the 2nd book in the series "the Movie Machine", so stay tuned!

Sounds a bit cliché, but never give up. If you truly feel you have something good and worth sharing make all the effort to not just be a good writer, but to become a great writer. Join writing groups, workshops, maybe even go to, or back to college.

I definitely don't force a writing moment, but I do tend to put myself in environments and activities that I think will help.
