Well, I live in Texas, and being a Houston native you tend to deal with hurricanes quite a bit. As a child those can be pretty intense and scary. So during those months of hurricane season, if/when one would hit, myself, and many other I'm sure, would play pretend to some degree to overcome ourfear of all the sounds, the lightning and thunder.
