What are you currently working on?
M.K. Sauer A high fantasy novel tentatively titled ENCHIRIDION. Basically, I read all of the Song of Ice and Fire books, a history of England to 1400, went to sleep, then listened to some Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and VOILA--a new novel.

It's my first try at a high fantasy political thriller. I have a feeling it'll be more fantasy than anything else.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
M.K. Sauer My friend challenged me to a spur-of-the-moment writing sprint. She waved her fingers in front of my face and told me I had to create a short story right then and there. The image of a magician pulling a rabbit out of his hat filled my mind, but I added a twist: what if the rabbit was zombified? What if this hypothetical zombified rabbit was still...twitching?

And thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born...er...I began writing what started out as a series of vignettes about a disinherited magician and his zombie apprentice. From there it evolved into a (somewhat) cohesive novel about a villainous rogue and his assassin-turned-zombie servant.
