Diane Farr I can't believe I am only seeing this message now! I apologize and hope that, in the intervening time, you have found a solution to this issue. The publishing industry has changed so swiftly that whatever today's statistics may be, it is impossible to predict what the market will be like by the time you finish your book. The best advice I can give you is to listen to no one but your muse. Write the book she sends you. Pay no attention to your "competition." The only real competition you have is discouragement, distraction, and procrastination. So put those blinders on and look neither to the left nor the right -- plow straight ahead and get it written. The vast majority of writers never get past Chapter 3. (In fact, one of the truest bits of advice I ever received about writing a novel is: "Write Chapter One. Write Chapter Two. Write Chapter Three. Throw away Chapter One." -- because the most common rookie mistake is starting the book well ahead of the actual story!) Once you have a completed manuscript, you are already ahead of the game. Just get there. Good luck.
Diane Farr Rose, I'm just now seeing your question -- I apologize for the delay in responding! Guess I need to visit Goodreads more often. I'm pleased to be able to answer with "yes." EPIC COOL was released July 7th. Thank you for your interest!
