Failure only exists if you quit. There are so many times it was easy for me just to say f-it...
Rejections are tough. They can beat you and beat you, make you think that you're just not good enough. If you have a story brewing inside you that you just can't let go of, don't.
With all that being said, don't be arrogant. Yes, you may have a unique and brilliant idea for a story but like any craft, it takes time, effort, and revision.
Write the books you want to read.

Right now, I'm working on my second novel. It's about a woman that fakes her own death to escape from her abusive husband.
A common theme in my writing is exploring emotions of women. I do tend to write about angst and heartbreak. I love writing about raw emotion.

The beauty of writing is that I can live a thousand lives.
I love exploring other worlds and delving into my characters mind and heart. I love becoming their voice.
For me, when I'm writing my senses are heightened. I see more, feel more, smell more, and taste more, because my mind is putting together words that will hopefully make readers tune into my vision.
