The Sunday Times carried a piece on the Pentagon investigation of the British Secret Services. At about the same time I overheard two Whitehall civil servants discussing the effectiveness of our missile defence and offence programs.
The two elements came together and the result is a cross between Easy Rider and Dr Strangelove [ Good morning BBC Radio ]
The Sunday Times has subsequently called it ' The Pioneering, Paranoia, California Thriller ' and BBC TV as ' A wonderful, scintillating package, in which words and music speak to the heart and mind, about the importance of truth and of love and of honesty.' [ I like that one ! ]

Tears Of Glass is based on a true set of facts, the deaths in the late eighties of twenty two British Scientists. They were all working on the Star Wars anti- missile shield for the USA and Europe. The Pentagon was very worried and I started to become interested in what appeared to be a cover-up by the British Secret Services. These events ignited my curiosity.
The denouement is so startling that I have coated it in a layer of dark humor.

Irvin Kershner who directed Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, loved the book and encouraged me to write the screenplay as, quote ' I want to make this movie ! ' I failed miserably , but I have a new impulse and hope to see it on the big screen one day.
The Audiobook is out on Audible around March 2016 and will contain the soundtrack, so very busy trying to co-ordinate these differing facets of the project.
