How do you get inspired to write?

David Lake Tears Of Glass is based on a true set of facts, the deaths in the late eighties of twenty two British Scientists. They were all working on the Star Wars anti- missile shield for the USA and Europe. The Pentagon was very worried and I started to become interested in what appeared to be a cover-up by the British Secret Services. These events ignited my curiosity.
The denouement is so startling that I have coated it in a layer of dark humor.
