Wounded Tiger, by T Martin Bennett, is about a Japanese zero fighter pilot who later came to faith in Christ. Just arrived in the mail!

My first book, Sam Houston's Republic, was not even meant for publication. I was attempting to write history in an interesting way for my students. Textbooks can be dry and boring! Since it is written in any easy-to-read, narrative style, it is also of interest to the general public--especially here in Texas.
In essence, writing is about communication. My current project was inspired partly by a theology professor, Dr. Richard Belcher, who wrote a series of novels in order to teach theology in a painless way. My book is not so serious or systematic, but he gave me the vision that solid gospel truth can be communicated via fiction.

I don't wait until I feel inspired. I just sit down and write. I can always edit later if it's lousy. You can't steer a parked car.

Keep writing! And get into a writing group. There are critique groups online if you don't have a local one. Be open to receive suggestions from others. It's hard to see the weaknesses of your own writing, so we all need that help to improve. And read, read, read! Choose writers who possess the ability to craft prose that takes your breath away.

I'm also trying to trace a path of the history/evolution of ideas in philosophy and science (physics mostly). I might write something on it but too early to say.
Have you finished the virus novel then?
I do like history and read quite a bit, but have never considered writing anything set in the past. ...more

Yes, A Twisted Strand has been out on Amazon several years. Two years ago I published The Shenandoah Road: A Novel of the Great Awakening, and this summer the sequel comes out, Lord willing.
