Mario Rivers 3 friends of mine that were in the military revealed issues with their significant others to me. To keep the story short, one of them talked to me about relationship problems with his wife, and while we were on a short deployment, she ended up with someone else. Over time, things that could have been resolved lingered. The next short one month deployment or exercise we did, when he got back there was a confrontation between him and the wife's "boyfriend." He was shot and killed. I didn't want anyone else to go through what he went through all because of misunderstandings in their relationships. That was the tipping point. Prior to this, I'd been documenting and "counseling" people for several years on their relationships. It wasn't on purpose. After my friend was killed, I took all that documentation and put it into a book. That's the short story.
Mario Rivers You can be free. You can have a voice and say what you want to say without having to be "politically correct." And you can let "the people" decide whether they agree or disagree with you. And let the people determine what you write about. I can help the people who are looking fro the specific help/advice that I offer. Its refreshing helping people reach their highest potential in different areas of their lives. I just love it.
Mario Rivers My most recent book "The Truth" will be released on Feb14th, but the idea was sparked by all the couples, and single folks that I've ran across in all the different countries, and folks that I've talked to about the details of their relationships that inspired me to write it. And after it was written, I now pay attention when I'm at a restaurant, or a public social meeting place, and the questions and discussions that I hear have are answered in my book.
Mario Rivers It was an accident really. I had gathered material for it which I explain in the preface of my first book, but I never intended to form it into that book. I was bored and couldn't sleep one night, and wrote an entire set of notes, an outline, and like 9 chapters not even on purpose. Finished it within the next few days and sat on it for almost 2 years researching what I would need to release or self-publish, reading book marketing stuff, setting up all the other stuff I'd need to publish. That one finished manuscript sparked a plethora of ideas in my head that I immediately began writing about. I can't even get it all out of my head as quickly as I'm thinking them up.

Mario Rivers Don't wait. Release your story now. But make sure it's as professional as you can afford. You can't afford to skip editing, no matter how good you think your writing is. Readers can sniff you out almost immediately. If you can't design your own cover like I can, hire someone but there are services where people can bid for your service and you can do it that way, but remember you get what you pay for. Your released writing will represent you forever. Make sure its the best it can be. But move don't sit still.
Mario Rivers I don't get writer's block with my books, now with songs, yes I just take a break from whatever I've been working on, and when the inspiration comes back for that particular song, I go back to it. The first book I've written inspired a bunch of other ideas, so I'm busy with at least 3 other ideas for books, one of which is already written with a preliminary draft manuscript.
