Never take things personally. Things are never going to go the way you think or hope, but head down, bum up, work hard and just keep hitting those keys and things will start to click. Trust me, when that first article or book gets published, you forget about the times nothing was happening.

Book two of the trilogy is done, and I have put it aside for a while to then come back in a few weeks and start editing it with fresh eyes. In the mean time I am finishing two articles for the magazine I write for, The Prehistoric Times, and then would like to get some work done on the Australian fossil book I have been working on for the last year.

I have always been a fan of The Big Sleep (Bogart), the Jack the Ripper murders and Sherlock Holmes. When I suddenly saw a thread where I could link all three in a story line, I had to have a go and get it on paper. Added to that the chance to add a lot of real events to my historical murder mystery, well I was off and running.
