One of the best things about being a writer--for me--is getting to take the crappy things that happen in life--whether that's situations, hard-to-love people, health issues, etc.--and transform them into something creative and beautiful. Anxiety and OCD tendencies are huge issues in my life. But I'm learning how to transform them into positives in my writing--they've given my characters more depth and my stories more meaning.

Two fun projects! The first is a book that I finished writing last year; I'm getting it ready for self publish with the help of my insanely artistic artist friend. And the second is writing my fourth book; it took a little time to get into this project, but after spending time with Alan Watt's The 90 Day Novel, I'm giddy about it.
