J. Grey No, the proof-read was hurried, I think. It does need sorting out, I've found a few myself when I read through the first few pages. I apologise for problems, you just can't get good help these days!
I'm glad you're liking it, it's a very English sense of humour! My website is almost complete and will have a bit more Rob & Dave info including two free short stories from these two utterly useless heroes.
J. Grey Beer and lots of it.
J. Grey Getting the ideas down means they're no longer banging around inside my skull giving me a headache. I love to tell stories, to hopefully inspire and get people thinking.
J. Grey Never give up. Talent only gets you so far, it's persistence that gets you where you want to go. Sadly none of us are good enough to coast along purely on talent, it's hard work that gets you there.
J. Grey I'm currently working on a book called 'The Storm.' It's a huge and fairly complex story set around 350 years in the future and travels back and forward through time as a group of people tell the stories that led them to where they are, teetering on the brink of all-out war.
J. Grey Reading inspired me. Some things inspired me such as Isaac Asimov who was just brilliant and made me want to be just like him. Others, such as George Lucas wanted me to just do better. Reading and dreaming of better things made me want to tell stories.
J. Grey My most recent book is 'Serves. No Useful Purpose'. I got the idea from years of working in horrible dead-end jobs and meeting really interesting people who were stuck there with me. I decided to move the idea of the mundane to a futuristic setting, in this case a space-ship and keep the twin protagonists in terrible jobs in a setting that seems, to us to be wildly adventurous. Also, I like writing about really weird people.
