I get to be whoever my characters are for a short time. I've always been one of those people that can't decide what they want to do. I've wanted to be a lawyer, a rockstar, a counselor, a teacher, a hair stylist, and countless other things. I feel like I get to become those things as I flesh them out in my characters.

Most of my writer's block is laziness or lack of time to write. This is easily remedied by reading a book that inspires me or even listening to a song that hits me just right. But when I get stuck, I mean really stuck, it's because I"m unsure of where my characters are going. I'm a true pantser, I rarely outline and if I do it changes. So I'll think about my characters constantly. I'll write down things they would do, things they wouldn't, and eventually, it comes together. I truly feel like these character and their stories are in this hidden part of my subconscious. Writing for me is just chipping away at the barrier and letting the story out.
