How do you deal with writer’s block?

H. Dillon Hunt Most of my writer's block is laziness or lack of time to write. This is easily remedied by reading a book that inspires me or even listening to a song…moreMost of my writer's block is laziness or lack of time to write. This is easily remedied by reading a book that inspires me or even listening to a song that hits me just right. But when I get stuck, I mean really stuck, it's because I"m unsure of where my characters are going. I'm a true pantser, I rarely outline and if I do it changes. So I'll think about my characters constantly. I'll write down things they would do, things they wouldn't, and eventually, it comes together. I truly feel like these character and their stories are in this hidden part of my subconscious. Writing for me is just chipping away at the barrier and letting the story out. (less)
