Hi, there! And it's not surprising you haven't found me, most haven't. LOL
Roxanne D. Howard is a great friend of mine, so I was super excited to see you enjoyed When You Close Your Eyes. She's the best. <3
So glad you added a few of my books! If you try one I hope you like it. They're fun and always super sexy. ;)
Nice to meet you!

1. I read somewhere (I wish I could remember where) and this man said that when he is stuck, he jumps to a scene he knows he wants to write and does it. It doesn't matter if he's at the beginning, he'll skip to a scene in the middle and attack it. Then it's a matter of filling in the rest. That has been a big help to me.
2. If that doesn't work, just walk away. It's frustrating to have all this energy and desire to tell the story you see in your head, but sometimes it just doesn't flow from your mind to the screen. That's fine. Walk away, give it a day or two. Heck, I've taken three or four days when necessary. Then you come back, and I promise, nine times out of ten you're refreshed, the cobwebs are gone, and you can't type fast enough! =)

It is the best creative outlet! It's such a neat feeling to have this idea in your head, and then you begin to write and the characters completely hijack your story. Seriously! That probably sounds insane, but it's true. The story takes on a life of its own and you're just along for the ride.

Write what you enjoy reading. Don't try to make your writing something it isn't. Also, be prepared for someone to not like your work. It's bound to happen. Not EVERYONE is going to like what you put out there. But it's definitely worth pursuing. I have met some wonderful authors through Loose Id that I now consider my friends. And let me tell you, there is nothing better than someone appreciating your work! It's an amazing feeling! So if you're sitting on something, or just debating if you want to give writing a try, don't think about it anymore. DO IT!

Loose Id took a poll and asked readers what tropes they wanted to read this summer. Then they compiled a list of the top 15 and sent them our way. I have a super cool idea for Fairy Tales Revisited, and am about to begin that. The deadline is May, so I need to get on it!

Inspiration comes in the oddest of places, so you really just have to keep your eyes open for it. If you find something humorous or intriguing, write it down! For example, I was at a restaurant enjoying a date night with my hubby, and our waiter was named Alex. His name-tag quite literally said "Alexxx". I mean...is that not hilarious? I told my husband that minute that Alexxx would definitely be in a future book! HA!

This is the first book I've ever written. I've thought of writing multiple times, but always found a reason to not follow through. With a little push from my husband, I decided to give it a go. So when I sat down to think about what story I wanted to tell, I thought about what I enjoy reading. I have a husband and two small kids, so my life is hectic right now, to say the least! So when I read, I want a fun, sexy, fast book. I LOVE when they have a little intrigue on top of the romantic elements. After letting those thoughts roll around in my head, this story truly just came to life in my mind, and then flew from my fingertips onto the screen!
