“In my work I often liked not asking but being asked questions. It told me a lot more about the person I was talking to or interviewing than their answers.”

Hi Rana, There are many books but the ones I've read have struggled with a timeline narrative as a consequence of the actual crimes committed or omitted parts of the brutal history of the British invasion. One non-fiction book, written in a prose style is Living On Stolen Land by Ambelin Kwaymullina. However I am sure there are some books that cover the history in a wide and detailed context. I'd be interested to discover them as well.

Hi Mehraj,
The Palace of Angels is available in Australia in print paperback at the moment although it will be published and translated to other languages in different regions within the foreseeable future.
You can still purchase it online through Booktopia, Book Depository and many others. Currently it is only available in English.
I hope this answers your question and I wish you a beautiful day.

Hi Maria. Thanks for your question. The answer is a simple NO. Already so many sites are trying to suck every penny out of authors through tweets, marketing promises and so forth. Just because GR feels their giveaway has some sort of marketing value, clearly they're also eliminating any author who doesn't have the financial backing to put another dollar in their box. I WILL offering GIVEAWAYS from my own website very soon! Readers are already able to buy my work securely from livinginthestrange.com and with the smallest shipping cost online. Anyway, thanks for asking Maria. Look forward to the new book, in copy editing at the moment! :)

I don't have a favourite fictional couple. They're all different. There are romantic couples, friends who form a couple and even animals personified. I don't have a particular favourite. I like couple's whose characters form a less traditional story. This could be couples who face challenges in life, love, gender issues, personal quests, and so forth. The term couple can have so many associations so hopefully my answer won't spoil the question :)

Hi Maria, I didn't know I actually had fans :) Thank you though and yes, that is correct. 22 Years To Life, the second story (What Is Past Is Dead was the last) from Gaza should be out in January 2017. I hope it will move some hearts - and minds. It's based on a true story. All stories are fiction based on true events to a certain degree.

Salaam ya Chandler. No problem. It will have to go on the "to read" shelf ;)

Hi RMD,
Yes. That is the one. Thank you very much. I looked at the Caine Prize website but couldn't get their link to work.

Every time I remember the faces I had to leave behind in places of struggle. As a writer, my wish is to give them a voice.

Second story, about a couple who lost their 9 year old son in the Israeli bombing of Gaza in 2014.

It's the same as being a photographer, sharing our lives, our stories. To me, it's about making a difference. A story keeps much better than a newspaper article.

I let it go. I can't stress. Writing like any other art, has to come from the heart.
