Tetsu'Go'Ru Tsu'Te I think myself into the world I have created, and into the head of one of the characters that is in that world, and deal with the situation that the character is facing. Then it’s just a matter of watching what happens and being a good chronicler of the events as they occur. If there is no world I create one, but most of the world may not make it explicitly into the story, which would make the story into an encyclopedia entry, the created world must stand by patiently and leak out the reader as needed, as the story progresses through the stories various narrative arch’s.
Tetsu'Go'Ru Tsu'Te Ask yourself, and identify what you have to say, what have feelings for and you want to share, if you feel strongly about it, then there will be others that feel the same way. The challenge will be finding them and connecting with them. After you’ve figured out what your message is, create a world, and populate it with characters then set the characters loose to work through problems or situations dealing with your message. This is a version of Stephen Kings writing style that I discovered in his book “On Writing” which I recommend aspiring writers to take a look at.
Tetsu'Go'Ru Tsu'Te I like being able to create, it’s being an artist, but instead of using paint and canvas, (nowadays a stylus and tablet) I use words instead of paint strokes to create something you can see in your mind’s eye, and experience in your imagination. As I get deeper into the story it gains a life of its own and my challenge turns to narrating accurately, effectively and visually appealingly the story that is evolving in my mind. When I’m in the zone, I feel not so much like I’m writing but that I’m reading a really good story as it comes out my fingers and appears on the page.
Tetsu'Go'Ru Tsu'Te I was inspired by my wife Su'Zi. When Su'Zi and I are together, it's like we are in a different universe and we don't want to come back. The science comes from attempting to answer questions that have been plaguing the scientific community for a long time, reading and watching science books, magazines, documentaries, shaking it all up, letting the pieces fall on the floor of my mind, then looking at the jumbled mess, describe what I see, and attempt to make sense out if it.

Tetsu'Go'Ru Tsu'Te I try shifting to another aspect of the story, like the back story. Or Since I deal with Science Fiction, the back story regarding the universe I'm creating. Then after the break I find it easier to come back to the character narrative. A lot of the back story never makes it into the novel but is essential to the overall story.
