What a fun question! When I was younger, my dad told me a story that’s still a mystery to me. My dad’s family farmed land down by Centerville, South Dakota, and in fact has a large family marker in the cemetery there. My great-grandfather, however, is buried outside the cemetery, and I’m not sure why. My dad said that my great-grandfather caught a man stealing his horse and shot him, and that's why they wouldn't bury him inside the cemetery, but I would like to research this mystery someday and figure out what really happened all those years ago. Perhaps it could make for a really great plot in a book!

My favorite fictional couple comes from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy have the right stuff, in my opinion. They are fiercely independent and not afraid to argue about what’s important to them. Yet it’s only through their relationship that they learn something vital about themselves. I like it when that happens, when a relationship impacts the individual as well as the couple.
