Celeste McGoogan She concentrated on the complicated pattern of the Fisherman's sweater, wrapping accordingly the hand-dyed specialty yarn, colored with nettles for a unique shade, on the wooden knitting needles. When nearing completion, she realized she had played chicken yarn and lost.
Celeste McGoogan I have always wanted to go to Narnia, but more recently I have wanted to go to real places in a different time. I have traveled to Europe more than once, but for all my reading years, I have wanted to visit London as it was in the past. I read Mary Poppins Comes Back and the Narnia books in my early elementary school days, and I have read British mysteries as long as I can remember. In college I studied and taught early British literature and wished I could see the places described first hand. I have long been interested in writings of India as well. Along with contemporary Indian writers of both fiction and nonfiction, I enjoy reading about the time of the British Raj and eras before the colonization. My answer is that I would like to visit Arthur Conan Doyle's London and MM Kaye's India. Both real geologically, but unavailable to me in reality, except through reading.
Celeste McGoogan I tell myself to write what I can. I can always delete it later if I don't like it. Once I have forced a sentence or two, the rest usually follows much more easily. After a day or so, I read what I wrote and clean it up. Sometimes I delete it, but at least I continued.
Celeste McGoogan I enjoy making up my own world. I can visit my characters any time.
Celeste McGoogan Just write. I started books for years, but I fretted over every word. I edit furiously now, but I had to let some of my ideas about perfection go. Once I let myself write, the words came to me.
Celeste McGoogan I am planning my third Corpus Christi mystery.
Celeste McGoogan Ideas begin to form in my mind, and they don't leave me alone until I write them down on paper or my laptop.
Celeste McGoogan My family tested with a DNA testing company for genealogical purposes. We didn't have big surprises like Sam and his family did, but many people do.
