I have traveled to Europe more than once, but for all my reading years, I have wanted to visit London as it was in the past. I read Mary Poppins Comes Back and the Narnia books in my early elementary school days, and I have read British mysteries as long as I can remember. In college I studied and taught early British literature and wished I could see the places described first hand. I have long been interested in writings of India as well. Along with contemporary Indian writers of both fiction and nonfiction, I enjoy reading about the time of the British Raj and eras before the colonization. My answer is that I would like to visit Arthur Conan Doyle's London and MM Kaye's India. Both real geologically, but unavailable to me in reality, except through reading.(less)
