Hi Judith. I'm glad you enjoyed OBiNT. Have you also read Why Stuff Matters? I feel that "Stuff" more easily lends itself to a sequel. Sadly, the publisher has gone out of business and my agent has been unable to place any of my other novels, of which there are plenty. You can always keep watch on my website--jenwaldo.com--and believe me, when another of my manuscripts has been accepted for publication I'll post it there.

One of the most popular and beautiful girls in my high school class was kidnapped, taken out in the country, and executed, bullet to the back of the head. While the authorities caught the murderer, he had an extremely low IQ and wasn't even articulate enough to give a reason for the killing. It was well known that the girl's brother had swindled one of the richest men in town on a drug deal. The rich man was powerful and also known for being creepy, vindictive, and violent; and there was a general feeling that this powerful man arranged the murder as a way to send a message to the brother. While the murderer spent the rest of his life in prison, I wasn't the only one who felt that we didn't get the whole story and that justice was not served.

I don't suffer from what must be a stultifying condition. If I'm stuck with a decision about the narrative I take a break by writing and posting a blog, which can be found under the heading Too Wordy for Facebook on my website:

If you want to be a writer then you must write. I get up every morning at five and write for two hours. I'm disciplined about it and when life interferes I miss my morning creativity spurt. Nothing feels better to me than when a plot takes a clever twist or one of my characters says something funny.

Not sure if this means most recent book released, the book I just finished, or the book I'm working on now. The most recently released work, Old Buildings in North Texas, was inspired when a friend of mine found himself in a situation similar to Olivia's. Sometimes, however, I'm simply inspired by something I see or imagine. Inspiration is everywhere.
