Shellie Bowdoin Each time a writer puts words to a page, she is leaving a little piece of herself there. Conversely, the reader picks up just a little bit of the author's heart with each word.

It's also a great time capsule...to look back and see your thoughts and perspective at a particular point and time.
Shellie Bowdoin I am a non-fiction writer. I honestly believe that blogging is a great way to hone your ideas for a first book. The process can be soooooo daunting when you are first starting out. And honestly, there are some pretty steep hills to climb. So, I think that blogging can help you break down a topic into manageable parts. Then, those parts can be woven together to make a well-considered narrative.
Shellie Bowdoin I think my biggest inspiration is encouraging others to draw closer to God as their source of fulfillment and strength. Just maybe, they'll see something I write and think, "hmm, if she did it, maybe I can do it too."
Shellie Bowdoin As I mentioned, I am launching what ended up being a huge project in January. So currently, I am working on all of the marketing "stuff," which also involves tons of writing :)
Shellie Bowdoin I keep a running list of ideas on my tablet...just anything that pops into my head (possible Titles, points, illustrations). Then, when I'm ready to start writing I look through the list to see what stands out and I ask God for revelation.
Shellie Bowdoin My book is really a product of my own personal journey. Quite frankly, I didn't start out with the idea to write a book, rather I wanted to share something that had brought hope and healing to me.
