Never give up; always pursue your dream. Whenever you have the opportunity, write like you're the only one reading your story. When someone else finally reads it, take the criticism with a grain of salt. Accept the critiques that aid your story, forget the ones that are staying have no positive impact on your craft, abilities, or story. Most of all, don't forget: you can do it!

I currently have three books on my hands (or fingers). In the next few months, I'll be working out a spooky 4th installment of The Waterman Chronicles, a romantic comedy with spies and slapstick entitled The Turn and Go, and an untitled adventure story about knights and dames.
