Andy Zach LOL! Congrats, you've given me a new idea.

Let's consider what this might mean. 1. To be a zombie, a computer would have to be alive and then killed and then brought back to life. So at the least, we'd need a sentient computer. I have that in two of my books.
2. What does it mean to kill a computer? Break it? Disintegrate it? Unplug it? There are many possibilities.
3. What does it mean to bring a computer back to life? Recover from backup? Rebuild it, better than it was before? Do we need an organic/computer mix, a cyborg?

This question opens a realm of possibilities. Thank you!
Andy Zach I was adopted as a baby. The search for my birth parents could be a plot for a book. I found out their names in January 2019 after they both had passed.
Andy Zach Unique, as is your wont, Major. I really wanted to give my daughter a stuffed banana slug when she was a baby, but my wife said no.

I never say no to any new idea. Yours will be added to my 'idea list', along with a zombie chickens, rats, and other animals.

My new book, Zombie Detective, has genetically engineered miniature hippos.
Andy Zach She opened the door. Then it came in and ate her.
Andy Zach There are a lot of great answers to this one. But under pressure, I'll pick Lord of the Rings. I'd love to live in Bree with hobbits, Rivendell with elves and hobbits, Lothlorien with elves, or even in Eldarmar with the Valar and elves.
Andy Zach Lots! My reading challenge for 2019 is 120 books, or 10 per month. Some of the books I read this summer are:
Neogenesis by Sharon Lee
The Big Chunk of Ice by Bertrand R. Brinley
The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg
and
Lucky Number 7 by Dave Freer

This is aside from my annual re-read of the Bible. I've covered Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel this summer, among others.
Andy Zach Wonderful idea! Thank you!

In a sense, I already have that with zombie turkeys. They're almost impossible to kill, they are super strong, and they get stronger each time they're killed.

But I continue the idea in My Undead Mother-in-law with zombie corgies, and bulls. Then I also add cyborg animals. Then there is much more in Paranormal Privateers.

Nonetheless, your idea is worth exploring further in fiction. Ideas are the most valuable asset an author has!
Andy Zach 'Paranormal Privateers' came from my research on Letters of Marque. Under US law, Congress can still issue Letters of Marque to private vessels to use them as auxiliary and independent units to achieve national goals. That's what I have in 'Paranormal Privateers'.
Andy Zach Usually, my daily sales report from Amazon serves to motivate me. If I'm in a sales slump, then I press on to the next book--maybe that'll be a hit and sell the others. If I'm selling well, then I press on to the next book, expecting that to sell well too.

If you're talking about ideas, I never stop thinking. I connect everything to everything and I see funny combinations all the time.
Andy Zach The third novel in my series, Life After Life Chronicles, entitled, 'Paranormal Privateers'. I really loved creating a superyacht for my novel, 'My Undead Mother-in-law' and rather than letting it go to waste, I use it in this novel.

Life After Life Chronicles documents the beginning and spread and results of zombiism in the U.S. It's not like any other zombie book you've ever read. Check the reviews of 'Zombie Turkeys' and 'My Undead Mother-in-law' if you don't believe me.
Andy Zach Why do you want to be a writer? If it's for the joy of writing or you NEED to write your story, great. If it's to make money, look for another job!
Andy Zach The joy of writing! I just love creating and telling stories. If people love them, then that is the fruit of the joy of writing.
Andy Zach I usually get this when I have a scene I don't want to write. I never seem to lack ideas!

But if I don't want to write a scene, that usually means it isn't interesting. If it's not interesting to me, why should I put it in my book? So I skip the scene and move on to the next interesting point of my book.

Later, as I edit, if the scenes are disjointed, I work backward, adding details until I connect the two scenes.

Sometimes I'll get an idea that'll make the scene interesting too.
