The best thing about being a writer is our ability to see a place never before imagined and give it life. Not me necessarily, but extraordinary writers can make the boring and mundane into a class act and you'll want to there too!

Look. You're speaking to someone who spent her entire life checking out of life. If you keep having repeating thoughts about whether or not you "could" write a book, don't kid yourself. Of COURSE you can! If putting pen to paper takes you to other places, if writing makes you feel competent, if once you begin to write there are times when you see what's coming next? That's your sign. The secret is to kick that itty-bitty shitty-committee in your head out into the street and follow your intuition because your heart is nudging you forward. Trust the Devine within you, that force that wants to see you succeed, and don't look back.

Writing became my grounding in response to my daughter's death. Each day I wrote, sometimes for hours at a time, about life, feelings, situations and scenarios. I remember telling a good friend that "I've just realized I have the makings of an inspiration daily reader here!" I was half way done by the time I paid attention to what I was doing, and that was about a year later.
