Goodreads
Goodreads asked Harriet Hunter:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Harriet Hunter Look. You're speaking to someone who spent her entire life checking out of life. If you keep having repeating thoughts about whether or not you "could" write a book, don't kid yourself. Of COURSE you can! If putting pen to paper takes you to other places, if writing makes you feel competent, if once you begin to write there are times when you see what's coming next? That's your sign. The secret is to kick that itty-bitty shitty-committee in your head out into the street and follow your intuition because your heart is nudging you forward. Trust the Devine within you, that force that wants to see you succeed, and don't look back.
