I would take the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey because there are dozens of wonderful books, music from Casting Crowns since they are so inspirational, and Atkins Dark Chocolate Royale Shake for the protein and chocolate all in one!

I spend three months a year writing and the other nine months thinking about what to write. I set goals for myself in those three months, whether it's a word count goal, or the completion of the book, or the action series for the next book to come. I like to write with Christian music playing in the background as I find it puts my mind at ease and allows the words to flow.

The best thing about being a writer is inspiring others to experience new adventures.

My best advice for aspiring writers is to write about what you love, the things which thrill your mind to think about, and with unrestrained enthusiasm. Most of the time people think they don't like to write simply because their only writing experience has been in high school English classes where they had to write essays on stuff they didn't care about. However, once you learn to write about the things you love, it's no longer a chore, it's a release.

I've always felt that writers block is merely a product of being unprepared to write. Once I have thought about something, sometimes for quite a while, I have begun to formulate the thoughts and intents of my characters. This way, when I sit down to write the words just flow because I have prepared my mind to listen to what my characters have to say and what they want to do.

My writing ideas mostly come from daily experience, observing others, my dreams, and imagination. I've always been intrigued by alternate dimensions and time travel which led me to write this Levels of Ascension series.
