T.R. Wolf I typically don't. If I'm not in the mood or the words simply aren't there, I try really hard to just stop and do something else.

On occasion, I can almost feel the words in the back of my head, so I push through and try to get out the idea that's nagging at me, even though the wording isn't quite right. Later, I go back and fix it so that the words are coherent at a later time.
T.R. Wolf That I can write literally anything and there aren't any consequences. I can write the world's worst sentence, paragraph, chapter, or even book, and then, when I realize it's awful, I can delete the entire thing and start from scratch.
T.R. Wolf This is the most cliché thing in the entire world, but write what you know and what you love. I tried writing crime fiction and it felt like I was ripping the story out of me - and not in a good way. Writing Addie's story, even when my brain doesn't want to cooperate, still feels like the most natural and wonderful thing in the world.
T.R. Wolf The Wicked Cabal, the second book in The Auctor Trilogy. I'm also working on The House of Hawthorne, the third book, as well as 1692, the fourth book in the series. And, on occasion, I'll add in details towards the sixth book in the series as well. The way that I tend to write is the way that I tend to think - very tangential. So while my main focus right now is on The Wicked Cabal as I'm intending upon publishing it in February 2017, I can't help but work on the other books in the series as well.
T.R. Wolf I don't know that there is anything that "inspires" me to write. I love writing Addie's story and so I do. There are always things from everything around me that make me think of some additional detail or something that would be interesting to add to one of the books, but I don't know if that's inspiration so much as it is that my brain tends to wander and eventually comes across something that I love.
T.R. Wolf I honestly don't know. I started out trying to write crime fiction, but quickly realized I had no passion for it. Since I love YA Fantasy and am fascinated by the Salem Witch Trials, I decided to write a book that combined these two things. I then spent over five years writing the first four books in the series, so the story changed significantly from first draft to published draft. So, the overall story came literally from nowhere and probably from everywhere all at the same time.
