Sarah V. Hines Something to constantly focus an overactive imagination upon. In times that I don't write, I'm anxious and down. Writing helps to direct that somewhere, and after writing a chapter or two, I feel a little more accomplished and excited about something.
Sarah V. Hines Honestly, as terrible advice as it may be, I wait. I wish I were one of those authors that have a timeline and a disciplined habit, but I'm somebody who can't force myself to write just to write. Sometimes I go a month without writing anything in a frustrating bout of writer's block, and then one day, I'll have an idea that will end up with four new chapters in 24 hours. It makes for a very long writing process, but it lets me write the absolute best story I can come up with.
Sarah V. Hines My most recently published book, Hubris, centers around a new telling of the Sirens from Ancient Greece, as well as starts to explore some international relations topics of today. As an international studies major and anthropology minor, these stories are a way for me to thread some of my favorite mythological elements around my passion for international studies.
