I read other works, or I concentrate on writing something random that has nothing at all to do with anything other than provide me a good stream of thought brain dump. Doesn't have to be good, or great. Just allows a chance to hit the reset button.

Don't give up. Publishing is tough. Agent and publisher "boilerplate" rejections are painful, especially when you know it's not a personally written response - only a pre-prepared statement to say "Thank you but no thank you. Best of luck to you." I've slammed my head against a wall I don't know how many times over that. Writing is easy. If you enjoy it, keep doing it.
