Don't give up. Publishing is tough. Agent and publisher "boilerplate" rejections are painful, especially when you know it's not a personally written response - only a pre-prepared statement to say "Thank you but no thank you. Best of luck to you." I've slammed my head against a wall I don't know how many times over that. Writing is easy. If you enjoy it, keep doing it.
