I love the creative side of being a writer, every story takes you on an amazing journey. Every book I write is unique, as I write the story takes on a life of its own and I rarely end up where I thought I would. I like to push the limits combining things that should not work into making them work. I love that I have a publishing contract. It was one of the best moments of my life. It made all the anguish, hard work and dealing with people that ultimately let me down, recede into the past. Ultimately, these experiences made me stronger, and more determined to become a published author in the end.

Read as much as you can and just write. Use a dictionary and a Thesaurus whenever you are writing. Be observant. The people and things that happen around you, provide great inspiration for characters’, plots and themes.
Proofread everything, at least three times, before submitting your work to a publisher. Better still get someone else to proof read your work for you, they will pick up on things far better than you, as once you know a story well, your brain will automatically fill in missing words that are not actually there.

I am currently finishing my fifth novel, which is another stand-alone story. This novel is a little different in the fact that all my other books are primarily set in England, but my new book Whisht Hall starts off on Dartmoor in England and then moves to New Orleans. It is a story that spans twenty or so years and it is a mixture of Dartmoor legend, and voodoo of the deep south, with a darkly romantic thriller weaving throughout.
