It's just research! Some of the books are famously out of copyright, like Anne or Shakespeare, and otherwise it's just a case of checking copyright laws (in the UK, where I live, it's 70 years after the author's death) and looking it up online.

Not an official one! In some editions of book one, there is a list of the key books at the back, but there's no sort of master list with all the cameos/references! Or not publicly!

I chose Anne mainly because she is possibly my all time favourite book character and who I would most like to meet! And Alice just has so many iconic scenes that seemed too good an opportunity to pass up, as well as being a book that I hoped a lot of readers would be loosely familiar with - so it worked well as a place to bookwanderer to first to set up how the magic works!

Hi Isla! Thank you so much for reading Pages & Co! There's three main things that inspired the first book - firstly, my own relationship with my Grandad. We used to read together a lot, and he helped me choose books, and took me to his local bookshop, and always encouraged me to write. Secondly, it was thinking about what I would say if I could talk to my favourite literary characters - and it was Anne of Green Gables in particular that I was thinking about. And lastly, that I love bookshops, and think they're magical, and wanted to write a story set in one! Hope that was helpful and good luck with your assignment!

I don't think there's an exact date yet but autumn this year in the UK I think is the plan!

Sadly not! I was very close to my grandparents growing up and we used to visit their local bookshop a lot when we stayed, so it's definitely inspired by my relationship with them, and their love of books but sadly not living in a bookshop!
