"A watched pot never boils," they say. And yet Tarsa watched the bubbles form on the surface of the barrel filled to its brim with acid and blood.

I would travel to the world of Jasper Fforde Thursday Next Series. That way I can travel through multiple books. I would love to holiday in a classic.

I have so many books on my reading list, most of which are indie authors. Some of them include 90 Days of Different by Eric Walters, The Gray Area Saga, Bomber Boy, and Mimic to name a few. I will also finally finish Cassandra Clare Lady Midnight and jump back into Jasper Fforde Thursday Next Series Part 1 ( I think I'm on book 4 of 7).
I get the great opportunity of getting new books often so this list may change but I'm all excited about summer reading.

I love fictional couples that don't look like they should be together, that it looks like there are no chemistry but they are devoted to one another. Like Thursday and Landon from Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next Series, or Clary and Jace from Cassandra Clare (Jace acts as if he can only love himself).

Being a writer gives me an excuse to read more books. I can never tell which of these two activities I like best.

Don't stop writing! I know that is so cliche and everyone says the same thing but there really is no other way to say it. Write everything and even if you have writer's block just open up that Word Doc or pull out that pen and paper and stare at it. If your whole writing allotted time ends and you still hadn't writing anything, don't worry about it. Do it again when the next writing slot comes the next day or however you have it scheduled. You are holding yourself accountable to the work you have already done when you do this and eventually you will find a completed story in front of you.
Don't believe anyone who says you can't do it and protect that writing time like it your child.

I stop moving and meditate. I try not to run from my thoughts and get into a quiet place. If I can do those things, stories and characters kind of come to me. It doesn't always work though. The anxious or overwhelmed I am the harder it is to write sometimes. Some stories just strike me hard and I have no choice but to write it.

I don't deal with it well (LOL)! Usually when I get writer's block I let it runs its course. It happens to me when I am trying to do/think of too many things at one time. So I finish all the little task that are clogging my mind. I let myself watch TV so I can remember why it is that I don't like it so much, and I read other books. Usually those things clear my head enough to start letting my character's voices be heard again.

I am currently editing two other children books inspired by my two other children - Banana Can't Go To School and That's The Spirit.
I also have In You I Trust which is a book I know we ladies will love.

The inspiration from #MeBeingMe came from my oldest son. I first began writing #MeBeingMe when he was entering 6th grade over a year ago. A lot of what happens in the book comes from his experience as well as my own from SO many years ago.
