I stop moving and meditate. I try not to run from my thoughts and get into a quiet place. If I can do those things, stories and characters kind of come to me. It doesn't always work though. The anxious or overwhelmed I am the harder it is to write sometimes. Some stories just strike me hard and I have no choice but to write it.
