If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Carol Fox I would love to go to Anthony Trollope's world, but I wouldn't want to be a woman in the nineteenth century. If I could go as a man, or disguised as a man, I would want to go on a hunt, join the Explorers Club, participate in London and country house society, and write my novels while relaxing in one of the better gentlemen's clubs.

And then I would want to come home to my life in Texas!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Carol Fox The country store near me (I am a native Texan) is the place to find out all the news of this rural community. A few years ago the owner told me of a dead body that had been found concealed in an old barn a few miles away. A search group on horseback, looking for the missing man, had discovered the body. That fired my imagination, and before long I was creating the characters and back story that led to that moment.
