Tango Ross I deal with writers block by taking the problem to my alpha and beta readers. I believe that they are one of the most important ingredient to the creative writing process. I have learnt that a change of scenery can also be helpful.

Tango Ross I got the idea for writing my recent book from a true story i read about a civil servant (who shall remain nameless) who had thrown away her fairytale life for an illicit romance. The story touched me because it reminded me of the power of love and of the frailties of the human condition. It reminded that something wondrous could produce something tragic and i felt like I had to immortalise this situation in prose.
Tango Ross The best thing about being a writer is watching how a story takes life. To me it's almost like having a child. I also like how sometimes a story I have dreamt up can mirror someone's life so perfectly. It always leaves me in awe whenever someone reads my story and says, "You must have written that story about me because that is exactly what I went through." To me that's just awesome.
Tango Ross My advice for aspiring writers is to stay focused yet keep an open mind. One of the things i have learnt from writing is that stories sometimes take on a life of their own. You have to have flexibility and be willing to change plots and character foibles based on what is happening at the moment; but you still cannot lose focus. This is a delicate balance but it can be done.
Tango Ross . I am currently working on a post-apocalyptic tragic fantasy. I would say more but I want to keep it close to the vest for now.
