If just one book- I would cheat and take The Lord of The Rings - 3 books in one volume.

Many of the more well known artists and bands are available in all formats, but only the more well known tracks and hits, many I have are not in any other format that I am aware of. I love to look for early jazz labels like Vogue and Esquire, many of the artists I have never heard of before but they are often superb. I find other real treasures too, for example early recordings of Les Paul playing on his first solid bodied guitar (the 'log'), tremendous to listen to. A recent find was Erroll Garner trio, brilliant!! There are many more I could list it is a real treasure trove of musical gems!

Hi Boradicus
I am very keen on all kinds of Jazz and big band swing. However, I do collect a whole range of music, early rock and roll, blues, 1930's 1940's big bands and orchestras. Popular artists too, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and many more.
I find it amazing how wonderful the sound is, how authentic and immediate. Mind you it is important to get a really good wind up player of the period, a good sound box/diaphragm and lots of needles, a new one for every record played.
Do you collect too?

Anna sat bolt upright in her tangled nest of sweat soaked sheets and duvet, shocked into consciousness from the depths of a horrific nightmare of depraved bloody torture. Now, in the coal-black dark, fully awake, eyes wide with terror, she felt and smelled the breath and dribble from her torturer's gaping maw as it began a slow, blood-curdling, cackling laugh, she closed her eyes and passed out, nightmare-sleep was a better place to be.

I am working on book 2, it is a follow-on story and continues to explore the same themes as in book one. I only have a working title which I am certain is only a prompt for me and not the actual title. It is 'Antigravity Drive Two - From One Enigma to Another'. I am being very careful about wording in this response as I don't want to even hint at spoilers for anyone who has not read it.

Don't write until it feels natural, don't focus on being blocked it will be a self fulfilling prophecy. Forget about it come back when an idea pops into your head. It mostly did as dream for me, sounds odd that but what I mean is thinking about the story whilst in bed half asleep really, often feels like a dream. Thinking of problems in dreams is a great way to solve them.

As a first time author it was the realisation that writing is like reading, the plot as it develops is just as surprising and exciting as a reader of a book as it is to write it.

Just get on and do it write something off the top of your head as an idea and build on it.

A few years ago I wrote the first paragraph as the beginning of a poem, left it, forgot about it.
I had an urge to write a book and self publish on Create Space. For some reason the notebook I picked up had the forgotten paragraph and I thought "This will do nicely" and off I went building the story line by line.

Working on a continuation of my first book. I did not set out to write a series but it does make sense and a few people are asking me to do it
