Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jami Albright Sort of from real life. I wanted to show a woman who was stuck in the past and believing things about herself that were no longer true, and how she overcame that.

How do you get inspired to write?

Jami Albright I go to my office and write. For me, it's not about inspiration as much as it is that it's my job to put words on the page, so I do. Is it easier if I have a stroke of inspiration, yes, but I still write even if there's no magical idea floating around in my head?

What are you currently working on?

Jami Albright I'm in the middle of my launch for Running After a Heartbreaker. I will begin working on Homecoming King, a small-town, enemies to lovers, second chance, sports romance next.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jami Albright Write. If you're going to be a writer, then you have to write and don't self-edit. Give yourself permission to suck. You can always fix it later but write the words.
