M.A. Hunt I see writer's block as a self-created scapegoat for not writing. You have good days and bad days, and the word count screams at you on each of them. It's okay to skip a day and take a break from it, but better to put down a few hundred words, even if you throw them away the following day because it shows what you shouldn't have written, giving you the knowledge of what you should. No writing is truly wasted.
M.A. Hunt Runners2 (working title!) is about half-way, so my focus is in completing it before we exit 2020. I also have another Demonworld novel in the pipeline, which I hope to complete in Spring 2021.
M.A. Hunt Runners was four years in the making. I wrote it in 2016 after an accident gave me a heap of spare time. A professional critique showed I had a lot of work to do, so I rewrote the POV and tenses, and spent a further two years on-and-off getting it into shape. I avidly consumed books on writing craft, and learned from editors' techniques online. Finally, with a couple of eagle-eyed close friends, I fine-tuned it for my launch into indie publishing.
