Stephanie Cassatly The power of observation and also reading other writers' works are great inspirations for me. Stephanie Cassatly I got the idea to write this book after I forgave the man who killed my mother twenty years earlier, just before he died in the notorious Angola State Penitentiary. I realized something amazing had happened and I wanted to document the experience for my young daughters to learn about it in the future. It took off from there.
